Sexual Abuse/Violence Restorative Justice & Healing
HOLLOW WATER
Hollow Water, an isolated Ojibway Cree village in Northern Manitoba, is involved in a
profound community restorative justice process. In this video the community redresses a
legacy of sexual abuse, violence, drug and alcohol abuse, and suicide.
Returning to traditional Native approaches, Hollow Water addresses its healing needs
with community based alternatives such as healing and sentencing circles. This video
chronicles the community's dealing and caring for both victims and offenders.
