Hosted by actor Wes Studi, this documentary profiles Navajo health care as it looks at hospitals and health care facilities on the Navajo reservation where mortality rates from tuberculosis, alcoholism and diabetes are dramatically higher than in the overall U.S. population.

The program tells the stories of Navajo health care workers like Lorraine Thomas, a registered nurse who works twelve hour shifts at the Kayenta diabetes clinic; Marilyn Yazee, a Navajo Community Health Representative as she makes the rounds in the Chinle region comforting elders in their hogan and the doctors and nurses who make a difficult two hour trip, along unpaved roads, to a remote health clinic at the foot of Navajo Mountain to care for their people.
