ONE BREATH AT A TIME - new!
This is a smoking prevention and community empowerment video. The 29 min. documentary focuses on Native Communities who are using progressive approaches in dealing with tobacco misuse. Featuring Native tobacco experts, health professionals, community workshops and personal testimonials -One Breath at a Time" is one of the first documentaries to address the smoking issue from an aboriginal perspective. The video recognizes the sacred role tobacco has played in Native communities for thousands of years, as well as social pressures affecting aboriginal people; and the program acknowledges that getting people to "quit" often means empowering whole communities.
