DRUG PREVENTION
This 3 part series shows the path of addiction and discusses how to recognize when there is a potential problem. Interviews with young people and adults who are coping with addictions to drugs, alcohol, gambling, smoking, internet pornography, television and eating disorders are intercut with scientific information on addiction and the brain.
The consequences of addiction are detailed in interviews with family members, pawn shop clerks, emergency room doctors, school principals, and scenes from juvenile court. Resilient youth who have found ways to navigate adolescence and young adulthood without succumbing to negative behaviors are profiled.
Finally the program provides some direction for young people already dealing with addictive behavior in themselves or with family members.
