A 2 part program on Conflict Resolution, Negotiation and Mediation

This comprehensive program and curriculum have been designed to help educators teach students in grades 6 -12 the concepts and skills they need to resolve conflicts productively rather than destructively.

Part One introduces students to the value of conflict resolution as an alternative to fighting.  Four sections discuss the concepts of:

• Understanding Conflict
• Communication Skills
• Conflict Resolution
• Peer Mediation

In a powerful presentation of peer mediation involving a racially motivated dispute, the video demonstrates the effectiveness of mediation in resolving conflicts in schools.

In Part Two teachers, administrators, parents and community members are introduced to the benefits and uses of teaching conflict resolution skills to students.
