GANGS:  IT'S YOUR LIFE

Through narration, interviews and documentary segments, this 3 part series examines the complex reasons why youth join gangs, the unfortunate consequences of gang life, and the ways in which young people can find viable alternatives and make more positive choices.  

Part 1 - UNDERSTANDING GANG LIFE -  Includes the journey from fantasy to nightmare, why youth join  to the nightmare of trying to get out.

Part 2 - CONSEQUENCES OF GANG LIFE - Portrays the results of gang involvement including fear, violence, trauma, abuse, manipulation addiction, prison, death and tragedy for loved ones.

Part 3 - ALTERNATIVE TO GANGS - Discusses the feelings of anger and hurt that underlie much of the negative behavior of at risk youth and outlines programs and approaches which are constructive and viable alternatives to gang membership, meeting many of the needs which cause youth to join gangs.
